Supporting South Kingstown’s Volunteer Firefighters When It Matters Most. Donate
For over 137 years, South Kingstown’s volunteer firefighters have served the community. When a volunteer firefighter is hurt or faces hardship, insurance may not cover everything. The South Kingstown Firefighters Relief Association provides practical and financial support to volunteers and their families.

501(c)(3) nonprofit mission
The South Kingstown Firefighters Relief Association (SKFFRA) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1973 (EIN 05-0390157). It operates independently from the Union & Kingston Fire Districts and is not the fire districts or the Town of South Kingstown. Donations go to SKFFRA to provide support beyond what insurance covers for member volunteer firefighters and their families.
Impact
When a volunteer firefighter is hurt and can’t work their day job, insurance rarely covers everything. SKFFRA steps in with emergency grants, family support, scholarships, and recruiting help—so stations stay staffed and families stay afloat.
